Overview
In collaboration with the City of Adelaide libraries and community centres, Relationships Australia SA is offering an opportunity for the community to learn and engage through a diversity of supports offered by the Gambling Help Service’s experienced, holistically driven, and passionate team.
When we are put into stressful, surprising, or traumatic situations and environments, our bodies react in fight, flight, or freeze mode.
Facilitated by a Senior Practitioner, this information session will provide a trauma-informed approach about what happens to our brains and bodies during these situations.
We will discuss what triggers unwanted reactions in certain situations or environments and focus on the powerful relationship between mind and body.
This session will finish with a guided mindfulness activity which offers the opportunity to feel relaxed, calm and a deeper connection to body awareness and regulation.
