We're Here For You
We help people who are affected by gambling harm in South Australia with therapeutic and financial counselling, peer support and group programs.
Lived Experience in Gambling Harm (LEIGH)
The LEIGH program includes both the Peer Support Program and the Volunteer Speaker Program. These are free confidential services offered as part of Relationships Australia SA’s Gambling Help Service.
Peer Support Program
Trained peer support workers offer you the chance to talk with someone who has experienced a problematic relationship with gambling… and recovered!
Volunteer Speaker Program
The Volunteer Speaker Program offers personalised training for those who wish to share their experiences of gambling harm in a range of community settings with the aim of raising awareness about gambling harm, through a range of speaking opportunities such as Podcasts, Discussion Panels, presenting your story to an audience and developing messages of hope.
Financial Counselling
Financial counselling is a free and confidential service provided by qualified Financial Counsellors, experienced in working with financial issues caused by gambling, help relieve the stress of finances and develop a money management plan for the future.
Barring Support
Putting a barring in place is a big step towards reducing the impact of gambling harm on your life. You don’t have to do it alone.
It may be important to consult with a professional Gambling Help Counsellor. A counsellor will support you to better understand gambling behaviour and its impact on your life. They will also help you understand and manage urges you may experience after you’ve stopped gambling.
Community Engagement
The Gambling Help Service Team are always keen to come and talk about gambling and gaming harm. We can tailor a training package to suit your organisation.
