Women of the World

Ordinary women doing extraordinary things at Women of the World, find out more…

Women of the World is about the magic that happens when a group of women comes together to make a difference.

Around one-hundred and eighty women attended the Women of the World (WOW) event representing 25 different cultural groups on 23 March 2018. The evening was about acknowledging, appreciating, respecting and celebrating women.

The women heard powerful stories from ordinary women doing extraordinary things. They shared a meal together, met new people and made new friends. Then they danced the night away.

The women were asked what topics they would like to cover in future get-togethers.

Following on from the successful launch of WOW at the International Women’s Day celebration, we are now pleased to announce monthly WOW Conversations which will take place on the first Wednesday of each month.

At the first WOW Conversation, we are pleased to announce Professor Susan Freeman, Professor of International Business, Business School, UniSA will be our guest speaker.

The first conversation will also cover:

  • Sharing the feedback we received from the 183 women who attended the launch.
  • Proposed topics for the monthly conversation.
  • Develop together the vision and actions that will make a difference for Women of the World who live in South Australia.

All women are welcome to join us for a light shared dinner.
