Many parents feel concerned about their young person’s ‘world-ready’ skills. At SCILS we can help develop a living skills plan that strategically moves young people towards an independent future. This individualised plan includes skills in (but is not limited to) personal hygiene, money management, cooking, household management, community/transport access, accessing and maintaining income support (Centrelink) and developing an understanding of rights and safety.
World Ready Skills are covered in a number of accredited learning programs and are also facilitate in one-on-one sessions with case managers.
