We say thank you to our volunteers during National Volunteer Week!

This week and every week, you are changing communities and changing lives.

National Volunteer Week is an annual celebration to recognise the enormous contribution that volunteers make in communities all over Australia. During these challenging times, we believe it is more important than ever to recognise and appreciate the vital work of volunteers.

Everyone has been impacted recently as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic in so many ways, but many of our valued volunteers have continued to generously give their time and energy to support and help others despite these challenges. We are sincerely grateful and appreciative of their ongoing commitment and dedication to supporting the community.

This week we wish to celebrate and recognise our volunteer team of over 170 people who work with us across various programs at Relationships Australia South Australia (RASA).

We currently have a team of over 170 dedicated and committed volunteers who support and complement the work of our paid staff.
These volunteers contribute to the following programs:
  • Time for Kids – 140 carers, mentors and service support volunteers who provide care and support to 95 placements, building lifelong relationships with disadvantaged and at-risk children and families.
  • Consumer Voice program – 15 volunteer speakers share their personal stories and lived experience to educate others about gambling help at over 85 presentations each year.
  • Post Adoption Support Service Mentor Adoptee Group – 15 volunteer mentors who support a group of 20 young adoptees.
  • ASKPEACE  is recruiting volunteer Community Consultants to respond to the mental health and wellbeing concerns of CALD communities during COVID-19.

Thank you for your ongoing contribution in helping us to provide programs and services to some of the state’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals, children and families in our community.
