The Future Youth Initiative is a service of Relationships Australia South Australia
Developed to assist young people between the ages of 12-21 who are:
- Enrolled in school but are at risk of leaving early
- Attending school but not actively participating in their education
- About to leave school or have left and are not pursuing employment or further education

The Ice Factor
The RASA Raiders ice hockey team have started training. This year the team are sporting new jersey, which was designed by their coach!
The café is a not-for-profit eatery, offering students on the job training and mentoring. The café offers weekly menu changes and reduced prices! If you would like more information about getting involved, click here. Or just pop by for morning tea or lunch, in two locations:
FYI Café Blackwood:
Open Fridays, 11am – 2pm
Blackwood Church of Christ, 367 Shepherds Hill Road, Blackwood.
FYI Café Burnside:
Open Thursdays, 12pm – 2pm

FYI students can also participate in a gym program twice a week. This program is linked to Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and can contribute to SACE points and accreditation.
These activities are normally based in a gym setting, with weights, cardio training and group fitness sessions, however a couple times a year they also have access to a pool. In pool sessions, students participate in ‘Aqua Splash’, which is an inflatable obstacle course in the pool!
