Share Your Story – Consumer Voice Training Program
Event Navigation

Description
Have you experienced harm from gambling?
If you or a family member has ever been negatively affected by gambling, consider developing and sharing your story through the Consumer Voice Program.
The Consumer Voice Program trains and supports people to share their experience in order to raise awareness of gambling harm across South Australia.
Your unique experience is valuable. By sharing stories of gambling harm with others you increase community awareness and understanding of the issue; spread the word about seeking support, offer hope to others also affected and help reduce the stigma associated with problematic gambling. Consumer Voice stories do make a difference.
Free Quality Training and Opportunities to Share
Consumer Voice offers professionally delivered training in a small group setting. It assists with the crafting of your story, develops confidence and provides skills in sharing your story with others.
Once you have completed the training there opportunities to share your story with:
- Gambling Help Services
- Hospitality workers in gaming venues
- Community service agencies
- Community centres and organisations
- Special interest groups and clubs
Participation in community education events after training is not compulsory. You do not have to share your story publicly, for some the training in itself is still a valuable outcome.
