Everyone has a story: A shared story project

January 1, 2016 @ 8:00 am - January 31, 2016 @ 5:00 pm

Description

Do you identify yourself as a gay/bi man and come from overseas with a non-English speaking background?
Do you have a passion for writing a short story about your journey of coming to live in Adelaide/SA?
Would you like to share just a fragment of that journey (like a little adventure) with us online?
If the answer is a big YES, I’d love to hear from you! To help you kick-start, here are some simple guidelines:
• Fake name(s) in the story are encouraged. Please change the names and identities of the people you
would like to mention in your story. This is for privacy and protection reasons.
• Your story can be as short as 100 words and a maximum of 600 words.
• Stories with positive and cheerful tones are strongly encouraged as this project is aimed to instil a sense of happy living in our peers who are either new to this city/SA or those who may find their life in a rut after living here for a while.
Story submission via email: b.yi@rasa.org.au by 31 January 2016. Project Coordinator, Ben, will get in touch with you to discuss relevant details afterwards.

All submissions are voluntary. Your story contribution to our community and willingness of sharing is highly appreciated. Please note you’ll be invited to a special event on this project launch day for celebration with other attendees, it’ll be a day to enjoy some good fun and share the success that will be achieved.
