Culture: Domestic Violence through the Lens of India

September 22, 2015 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Description

This workshop is designed to give you a good understanding of the ‘Indian’ culture. It will shed light on some of the historic and contemporary social, economic and political forces that impact Indian women and men, and how these forces shape attitudes, behaviours and worldview. You will learn practical cross cultural communication and engagement skills needed to work with Indian women. Understanding these factors will help you to develop strategies that will help adequately meet the need of Indian women affected by domestic violence.
