Support with family and domestic violence
All people have the right to be free from violence.
Domestic violence is a pattern of controlling and abusive behaviour within an intimate relationship. It’s used to gain and maintain power and control. The abuse also impacts on children who see, hear and/or live with it.
These dynamics may also occur within the family (e.g. sibling abuse, children's violence towards parents/caregivers, elder abuse) or extended family networks and referred to as family violence.

Family and domestic violence can include:
- Physical abuse
- Sexual abuse
- Threats
