This course has been adapted from the work of John Gottman, and is based on 25 years of research into what makes relationships either blossom, or shrivel.

Gottman found that passion, romance and sex, stem from having a solid friendship. He adds that couples who do a better job at repairing the damage from disagreements seem happier and, in the long run, seem to have fewer conflicts. This course explores his seven principles and how they can enhance your relationship.

This course assists those who have experienced the breakdown of a relationship and provides support through the early stages of separation.

When relationships end, many people feel that no one else could possibly understand the pain and confusion they are experiencing. This group is designed to give support and the opportunity to learn new ways of managing the intense emotions experienced.

There are many pressures both on and within relationships that may affect a couple's ability to stay close as partners. This course covers some relationship issues that men in particular may find useful. This course will give men an opportunity to look at gaining some information and skills to improve their relationship with their partner.

FOCCUS is a program that enables couples to identify the strengths and potential issues in their relationship.

It will help you become more aware of yourself and your partner, and the expectations you each have about your relationship. It involves individual responses to a questionnaire of non-threatening statements It will give you a clear picture of the compatible areas and those you may need to work on. It will improve communications, increasing your confidence to build a happy and healthy marriage/committed relationship.

The process involves three sessions, with a facilitator. Each session runs for one or one and a half hours. This is not a counselling session or a predictive test of compatibility.
