Riverland Drought Support
We would like to hear from people in South Australian drought affected communities who would like our support in some way.
Those who work on the land are known for their resilience, but over time pressures can mount up. The drought has resulted in some people having to find alternative work, often far away from their families. Some families have to consider difficult choices about their present and future situation.
These and other pressures are potentially very stressful for all concerned. Whole communities are affected.
In response, we would like to help build on the strengths and adaptability of Riverland individuals and communities by:
- Supporting initiatives for drought affected communities
- Providing counselling and support for individuals and families.
You do not have to be directly involved in horticulture, viticulture or other agricultural areas, as we acknowledge the whole community faces difficult times as a result of the drought.

Drought support is provided by Relationships Australia (SA) and funded by the
Australian Government Department of Families, Housing, Community
Services and Indigenous Affairs.
