Membership information

The Relationships Australia Library makes available to the South Australian public only, at low cost, resources about human growth and development. The library is funded through subscription fees and a grant from the South Australian Department of Health.

Individual  membership

Membership fees

One form of ID showing current residential address or proof of concession must be presented, this may be faxed (08) 8346 7333 or emailed library@rasa.org.au  Payment may be made in store, over the phone (08 ) 8245 8111 by credit card or by cheque when posting membership form.

We do not send renewal notices, so you need to let us know if you wish to renew after one year of membership (non-renewal will result in termination of membership).

Loans

• Library membership is not transferable 
• Three items may be borrowed for up to three weeks (metropolitan membership)
• Borrowers outside of the metropolitan areas may borrow three items for up to four weeks (country membership)
• Items can be renewed using your card either in person or over the phone, so long as there are no outstanding fines and the items are not reserved 
• Replacement cards cost $1.00
• Lost and damaged items are replaced at the current retail price.
  

Conditions

• Fines are charged for overdue items at 10c per day per book 
• After a maximum of $2.00 (per book) has been reached you will be billed for items if they are not returned
• Seven day loans – fines are charged at $1.00 per day overdue.

Organisational membership

Membership fees

A letter on a company letterhead is the preferred means of ID, this may be faxed (08) 8346 7333 or emailed library@rasa.org.au Payment may be made in store, over the phone (08 ) 8245 8111 by credit card or by cheque when posting membership form.

One person from the organisation is listed as the contact and is responsible for all items borrowed. A list of nominated borrowers is required.

Loans

• 12 items may be borrowed for up to three weeks
• Nominated staff must produce the library card when borrowing
• Items can be renewed using your card either in person or over the phone, so long as there are no outstanding fines and the items are not reserved
• Replacement cards cost $1.00
• Lost and damaged items are replaced at the current retail price.
  

Country borrowers

• Organisations outside of the metropolitan area may borrow twelve items for up to four weeks
• We will post the items free to you and you will be required to pay the return postage.
